Hi, we’re Bryan and Kelli Story — the husband and wife team behind this little corner of the internet.
While I (Kelli) handle all of the designs and details, Bryan supports me, encourages me, and keeps me focused - which can be quite the task!
After years of striving, perfectionism, and attempting to do things through my own strength, I have since come to realize the freedom we have in Christ. It is my hope to share the freedom and joy we have in Him with as many people as possible so that others might experience and be transformed by His love too.
We believe that we all have reason to celebrate because of the joy we have in Him, and that we worship Him by participating in our celebrations with gratitude and grace.
From ordinary days to special occasions, there are so many opportunities to honor God. In every season, we praise Him so that our joy reflects His goodness.
This is a place for celebrating simply, beautifully, and gently — Where joy and grace are abundant, memories are pressure-free, and our lives bring Him glory.

THE BUSINESS SIDE OF THINGS
A Piece of Cake Celebrations began during a season of transition. After almost a decade in the classroom teaching, I stepped away from a career I deeply loved to be more present at home with our family. It was one of the sweetest yet hardest decisions we’ve made.
Despite my immense love for teaching, I knew that the Lord was inviting me into something new, even though I had no idea what it was at the time. What started as a simple step of faith slowly grew into something more.
I began taking online courses, joined entrepreneurship communities, learned how to sell on Amazon, and taught myself digital art and graphic design through countless late-night courses and tutorials. I launched a few products to see if I was capable of doing it, and became intimately familiar with growing outside of my comfort zone. Over time, my skills have developed, my confidence has grown, and my vision continues to sharpen, which has led to the heart behind this business shifting.
THE HEART SIDE OF THINGS
At first, our mission was simply to help stressed-out parents celebrate on a budget. That mattered, and it still does. But the deeper lesson God has been teaching us, is that simplifying celebrations isn’t just about managing stress or lowering costs — It’s about cultivating joy, presence, and remembering the Giver of every good thing.
We’re building this brand slowly and intentionally — not to add more noise, but to offer pieces that remind us to lighten the load while keeping our priorities of faith, family, and joy at the forefront.
We believe that there is an easy way to celebrate that doesn’t rely on perfection, excess, or striving, but on an abundance of grace, gratitude, and simple, intentional presence.
